Searching for stuff online

Americans conducted 14.3 billion core searches in March — a 9% gain versus February, according to comScore’s monthly qSearch analysis of the U.S. search marketplace.

TechDirt is also reporting that online classified listings are booming across America. That report is similar to our previous blog item about classified activity from the BBC.

In March, local users searched Iwanna.com websites 180,000 times for items from soup to nuts — or, more specifically, from dogs to pontoon boats. It’s fun to see what people search for at Iwanna, and last week we noticed “yard sale” climbing the rankings. Guns also continue to be a highly sought item.
